Upcoming The City of Taylor Lake Village: FMA Grant
The City of Taylor Lake Village will have an opportunity for some homeowners to qualify for the Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant Program (FMA), administrated by the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB)
Taylor Lake Village applied on behalf of the city for the FMA grant funds in response to recent major flooding events. The program is a way to prevent future repetitive and/or severe-repetitive flood loss residential properties by elevating eligible homes above the floodplain.
The FMA program funding is allocated to political subdivisions (Cities, Counties, Special Districts, etc.). Homeowners are not be able to apply directly to TWDB or FEMA for the FMA grant.
They can contact their local floodplain administrator (Download list here: Floodplain Administrator Community List), or other local officials to find out about their community’s interest in applying for an FMA grant.
This grant program for The City of Taylor Lake Village is in progress and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
