P3 Rebuilds Texas Homes After They Have Been Flooded

Private Home Reconstruction | FEMA and HUD Disaster Recovery Grants

Many Hazard Mitigation Assistance Grant Programs involve rebuilding flooded homes above the floodplain. These home reconstruction projects can be funded by FEMA through Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) and Flood Mitigation Assistance grants (FMA).
In these cases, previously flooded homes will be reconstructed by a FEMA qualified contractor.

As a FEMA qualified contractor for multiple Texas disaster recovery projects,
P3 has elevated and rebuilt over 1000 homes after Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Harvey, and after many Texas floods in recent years.

We believe in excellent craftsmanship. As Chad Jonassen, Director of Construction says, “We only do things one way and it is the right way.”

We deliver professional workmanship at every layer of the building process from innovative floorplan designs, project management, structural integrity and quality control ensuring a finished home of style and elegance.

As with our home elevation projects, you can be confident that your reconstructed home will help mitigate future flood damage and give you peace of mind.

We are Texas flood home reconstruction experts and have a long history of successfully raising homes 1 to 25 feet above the floodplain, to keep you high and dry once and for all.

Community Development
and Revitalization Program

The Texas General Land Office (GLO), through its Community Development and Revitalization Program (GLO – CDR) program, is committed to rebuild Texas communities by putting families back in their homes, restoring critical infrastructure, and mitigating future damage through community planning.

Grant Programs

After Hurricane Harvey and other heavy rain events, several counties in the State of Texas have been awarded funding for hazard mitigation through a Presidential Declaration. You may know these grants as FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP). Although you cannot directly apply for the grant, your community may apply on behalf of its residents. We’ve also worked on projects that were managed by the Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant Program (FMA) in home elevation. P3 has a long history of completed homes and satisfied happy homeowners within the FEMA Grant programs.

What is the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP)?

Community Development
Block Grant - Mitigation

A program of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Program is an opportunity for eligible grantees in areas impacted by disasters for activities and projects that are essential to help mitigate flooding disaster risks and reduce future losses related to community-wide flooding.

What About Flood Insurance?

National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)

According to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) , in order for a community to participate in the National Flood Insurance Program, it must adopt the program’s minimum standards into its building codes.

Because of these NFIP requirements and the fact that many areas are prone to repeated flooding, homes will need to be elevated up to 2 feet above the base flood elevation to comply.

This is why it is important to choose an experienced contractor that specializes in home elevation and reconstruction to rebuild your home after a flood.

P3 has helped more than 1000 families over 25+ years recover from hurricanes and rebuild after flooding. It’s what we do best.

Make sure you check with NFIP and your insurance agent to see if there are any changes to your requirements. Recent floods in Texas required adjustments to the flood risk zones that may affect you.
