City of Pearland: FEMA Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Home Elevation

Home Elevation Program Grant In The City of Pearland, TX (FMA)

The City of Pearland has applied for the FEMA FMA Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant Program.

The City of Pearland applies for the FMA grant funds in response to major flood events, while using the program as a way to prevent future flood-related damage to repetitive and/or severe-repetitive loss residential properties by elevating eligible homes above the floodplain.

The FMA program funding is allocated to political subdivisions (Cities, Counties, Special Districts, etc.). Homeowners will not be able to apply directly to the TWDB or FEMA for an FMA grant. They can contact their local floodplain administrator (Download list here: Floodplain Administrator Community List), or other local officials to find out about their community’s interest in applying for an FMA grant.

This grant program is in progress and we will provide more information as it becomes available. Check here: Flood Mitigation Assistance FY 2020 Subapplication Status |
